Father's Day and a little on the warm side to say the least. New to the posse this month was PUNCH, Sunshine Marcie, Kid Daniel, Diamond Donna, Bad Dog Dandy John and returning to action after being abscent for a few years.... all bright eyed and bushy tailed, Six Shooter Jim. Thank you to the cooks who provided the fried chicken and those GREAT DESERTS. Please keep cool and stay safe until next month.

What a gorgeous day.... and the grilled chicken and corn on the cobb wasn't bad either.

where she took first place overall ladies...... and beat me!
Also shot in a match at the Gateway Shootist Society in Arnold, MO.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY. Thanks to all the shooters who showed up today and added to the FUN.
We received a good report from Teton Tracy and Southpaw Sadie as regards their Grandson Jeremy
(SASS Member Plink). Plink was kicked by a horse and sustained kidney and liver injuries. He is responding to medical treatment and we are praying for a full recovery. Please keep them in your prayers.Red Cavanaugh from down Virginia way (Pongo Posse)paid us a visit today. It was a pleasure having him shoot with us. Denver Doc (SASS 1500) also paid us a visit. I trust all you fathers had an enjoyable day.
There is a RUMOR that we will be havin' a Hawaiian Theme next month..... Hawaiian shirts, grass skirts & such. I do remember seeing Nanticoke in a grass skirt and coconut bra once....Hmmmm..... what a picture.

April 20th, 2008 marked the send off for our Friend, Too Dang Frank from Paden's Posse.
The weather was a blessing as well, as we enjoyed beautiful warmth and sunshine of a
Spring day and good company. Otto Load Fasser developed the stages and the Spirit of

August Fun filled weekend. Saturday night was a party for Denver Doc at the Old West Steak House where we surprised him with a proclamation from SASS and a Paden's Posse Gold Badge. Corkscrew Tom made his presentation of a portrait of Doc, signed by Posse members. Sunday, our Territorial Governor, US MARSHALL PADEN stepped down as Governor. Paden has been the first and only Governor we have ever had. Paden, Doc, Digger and Judge Soy Bean are the reason we have a SASS Posse today. It was their vision that brought us to where we are and we all owe them a great deal of thanks for their dedication and work. TEX, SASS # 4 sent me an email this afternoon recognizing Paden's "long run as Territorial Governor".

Denver Doc Day at Paden's Posse was a success .... or as Whistle Stop Jim would say.... "Was there ever any doubt?"
I believe everyone found today to have been an emotional day.... seeing our FRIEND and recognizing him for
all of the GREAT things he has done for the Cowboy Action Shooting Sport, SASS and Paden's Posse brought
good feelings and memories to the Posse. WE SURPRISED HIM AGAIN...... hee,heee! It was his Birthday.
All of the scenarios were based on poems and writing of Denver Doc. He was given a statue to commented his
FRIEND SHIP as well. There is a real party being planned for Doc at the OLD WEST STEAK HOUSE later in
August. We are trying to keep it a SURPRISE event and will be posting more info in the near future.
Stay cool and safe pards..... If there is enough interest, we will hold a RO Course in the morning and a 'training' session for new
shooters ...... US Marshall Paden is setting it up.

A Paden's Posse Cutie!
February.... cool and crisp with a snow shower in the morning... 21 brave souls ventured forth to celebrate President's Day and the Chinese New Year. The theme was loosely based on the presidential theme for each scenario. It was at the Wyoming Schoolmarm's suggestion we use the President's Day theme... "I am not a crook!" The Judge surely made a great lunch as most everyone went back for seconds.
I counted 7 visitors who came out to see what this 'game' is all about. At least two made a commitment to return.
Hope you all enjoyed the day.... and still had time to get home and watch the Daytona 500.
